Well it appears the number of visitors to the Okanagan is up! This is great news for the vacation rental business. Although numbers are up, it is also true that guests are spending less once they get here. In my opinion travellers are getting smarter and making their money go further, hence the reason for staying at a vacation rental property. This allows for the guest to bring their own groceries and pack their own lunches for a day trip to the mountain, hiking, the beach or boating. No more eating out for every meal. Yes it's important for the cook of the house to go out for meals, but you have the flexibility to dine out as often or as infrequently as you would like. This gives the traveller more choices.
