About Your Seasoned Chef:
Your Seasoned Chef is actually a seasoned duo comprised of husband and wife culinary team, Justin and Joanna Best.
Justin is a Red Seal Chef who began his cooking career with the completion of a two-year culinary program in seaside St. Andrews, New Brunswick. After briefly apprenticing in local restaurants, Justin left New Brunswick to pursue other challenges and opportunities. Prior to his latest move to Kelowna, Justin honed his skills in a variety of fine dining establishments in Nantucket, Massachusetts; Ottawa, Ontario; and Kananaskis, Alberta; as well as Eden at the Rimrock Resort in Banff, Alberta and the White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine (two AAA five-diamond restaurants).
Justin loves to demonstrate his cooking skills by participating in culinary competitions. He represented New Brunswick at the national level and has won numerous medals in various competitions.
Joanna studied culinary arts at the renowned Culinary Institute of Canada in Charlottetown, PEI. Upon graduation, Joanna spent two years working in the kitchen at the exclusive White Elephant Resort on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. Joanna's culinary experience has been acquired across a variety of venues, including the Delta Hotel, The National Arts Center, and The Rideau Club in Ottawa, Ontario, and Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff, Alberta. She has also found herself privileged to serve many celebrities over the course of her career, including dinners for the American ambassador to Canada and for guests of Canada's Prime Minister at 24 Sussex Drive, as well as a dinner gala for the Boston Pops.
Originally from rural New Brunswick and now residents of the Okanagan, this seasoned couple has started a family and are excited to embark on a new culinary adventure: sharing their passion for cooking with other individuals and families on a personal level by providing sustainable, delicious, wholesome, restaurant-quality dining experiences in the comfort of their own homes.
